Turron Ice Cream

Hello foodies, do you like turrón, this Spanish specialty made with almonds and honey?

Do you think of turron as a winter dessert? What if I revealed a dessert for summer?

Ingredients :

200 ml of milk
200 grams of nougat ded jijona
3 egg whites

Mix the soft nougat with the milk using an immersion blender. When the cream is smooth (it doesn't matter if there are any lumps left), pour it into the bowl of an ice cream maker. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Using a whisk, begin whisking gently to break up the egg whites while tilting the bowl with your other hand. Lift them well to incorporate as much air as possible. As soon as they become frothy, beat them faster and faster. Add them to the mixture.

Leave in the freezer for 5 hours (remove 5 to 10 minutes before serving).
