Bizcocho: A cake of Spanish origin

Ingredients : (for 6 people)
  • 150 gr. of flour
  • 100 gr. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 gr. sugar
  • 1 packet of dry yeast

Difficulty : Medium

  • Total time : 50 min.
  • Cooking: 40 min,
  • Preparation 10 min.
  1. Mix the softened butter with the sugar.
  2. Add the flour, then the yeast, three egg yolks and the lemon zest.
  3. Mix well to obtain a smooth paste.
  4. Beat the three egg whites until stiff and incorporate them into the dough.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake in a hot oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Let cool before unmolding.
